One of my clients has me prepare photos for retail furniture boxes… Each box has a picture of the contents. The products are sold through Costco.
Recently we redid the photos on a website due to the lack of quality control from a previous camera owner who was trying to do commercial photography.
First there is always the subjective argument of how to depict the product…. That debate needs to be solved before the photos are made by comparing ideas and looking at samples from previous jobs or competitors.
But the real difference for me is the lack of color control. In the previous photo shoot you would have trouble matching product to description because the colors were so far off there was no connection…
See the differences here: “After” is what the product actually looks like. How many returns are you going to get for “wrong color” with the “before” version???
